Tackling my fears : Hands - part one

I got this quote from some art website and its freaking true!
So I decided to tackle my biggest fear, which is drawing hands..most of my artwork, you can see either the character has his/her hand in the pocket or behind them. I always ignore hands but now I do understand one crucial thing, besides faces, hand gestures can tell a story too.
For now, I Googled search pictures of hand and redraw them.
You can only draw what you know.So, remember, practice, practice, practice...

Looks like I'm the first to draw Asians favorite past time, car drifting. Well, not all Asians, but in Japan, this race is very popular. In Malaysia, we too have drifters, but nothing compared to the drivers from the land of the rising sun.
I'm more of a comical drawing guy, but for this I wanted to do it inform of digital painting. Well, honestly its much harder than it seems, I would really like some feedback's on how to create the realism for this type of drawings.

Let me know what you think, and areas i can fix by dropping some comments. Appreciate it alot.

I need to customize this blog. Changing the wallpaper, header..etc. Problem is, my html skills is just way to poor.
Any tips on how should I do this without losing my postings and those widgets on the right?

Im planning to make icons for the widgets. For example, i would like to have a small icon (thinking of iphone icons) placed for foldees,bem69..etc. Question is, after uploading the icons to image hosting websites, how do i place it next to their names?

To those who know how to do this, appreciate if you can give me some few tips and tricks.

This weeks illustration is dedicated to Faith, the dog with only two legs. For a dog, its always a natural to walk on four legs, but for Faith, she has to adapt the walking style of a human.
Faith was born on December 2002 with only three legs; two fully-developed hind legs and a deformed front leg, which was amputated when she was 7 months old.

Faiths owner, Jude Stringfellow took Faith into her family after Jude's son rescued the puppy from being smothered by her own mother. Jude taught Faith to hop by treating her with peanut butter but soon Faith decided on her own to walk.

Faiths fame rise when she appeared on shows like Oprah Winfrey Show, The Montel Williams Show, Animal Attractions Television and Ripleys Believe it or not.

Happy Chinese New Year!! Yes its the time again where, every single newspaper will show your horoscope done by different feng shui masters. Some believe in it, some don't. I for one dont believe in it as I like to create my own destiny rather than listening to some wannabe Nostradamus.

So I was reading The Sun paper( Malaysia Edition) on friday 23rd Jan when I stumbled upon the article on what the year of the Ox would do for me.

Im born on the year of the fuzzy little Rabbit, and according to the horoscope, my life is gonna be a reck the whole year. Financially bad, health wise bad. The only positive part was that i'll be in a relationship this year...yea, i dunno if its considered good or bad.( good= i get laid 24/7 , bad=have to spent for her..and since its stated that ill have finance problem, im so fucked.)

The best part of all is that this cute little rabbit here(hehe) will be involved in some CRIMINAL ACTIVITY!! WOW! Now I cant wait for that to happen. After reading that part my imagination when wild, maybe I'll rob a bank, maybe I'll kidnapped someone, maybe ill do the one thing I always wanted to do, go on a KILLING SPREE!!!! I couldn't stop my evil smile until my friend had to ruin it by saying, what if its just a parking summon.

Well, if I end up doing some criminal activity this year, im sure as hell gonna start believing in this horoscope crap, but for now, I learned to crawl, i learned to walk, i learned to run, I learned to set my own life, I control myself not you!

As a tribute to the funny article, I decided to do this drawing. Happy Chinese New Year everybody.

You Defragment My Life

Ladies and Gentlemen, my first work on illustrator. Hated Illustrator but now loving it!!
Vector Art Rocks!! This card is for the first contest Foldees came up with. The theme is "Nerd Greeting Card". What a way to honor nerd lovers out there with a lovely hard disc. I didn't win for this contest, but that never stop me from trying the next contest.

The Second Contest, ah..my favorite contest of all. The theme for this contest is comic-themed xmas card. Yup, you heard me, COMIC!!! This was a very tough contest, alot of designs was so awesome and well done. Ill put up another post on my favorite cards for this contest later. Anyway, I did 2 cards this time.

Stuck On Christmas

The card that won me a 8gb thumb drive. To me, this is my best card ever and I won 8 place in it. This idea came to me while I was daydreaming in the office, while looking at the Twin Tower...psst...(dont tell my boss)...

Stuck in the Rat Race

Ive not been updating my blog lately, its because ive started working. Started working in a bank last week, its an easy job, but its sure hell its boring. Its a 2 month contract job, so I might as well get the extra money to pay for my college and also have a little something for myself. Ill get a 1terabyte hard disk when i get my first pay. Dont have much time to draw too, everytime I come back from the office, its already 8pm and so tired to even on the pc.
Cant complain much about the job, like I said, its easy but its boring.If they give me a fulltime job, i might say no to it, I cant see myself working in a bank forever. I want to be on the creative side, I wanna be an animator, I wanna have my own animation studio.

I’m starting this blog by officially saying, BOOKMARK this page now because it’s going to be filled with my creativity and ideas.

I bought a tablet recently, it’s a wacom graphire 4(6x8). Cost me about RM400. Ive been wanting a tablet for a long time, but lets face it, it aint cheap. A special thanks goes out to Nanie for looking me up in Facebook marketplace, and also selling it to me for a reasonable price. She mentioned shes gonna use the money for Avril Lavinge gig show in KL. Enjoy yourself k..Thanks also to Kevin Wu, for giving me a project to earn for the extra money.
